HealthPoint: BIIN Receives Computers
Throughout the years BIIN has been supported by many organizations. One of these wonderful organizations is HealthPoint. HealthPoint is a clinic that serves the Brazos County community. The manager of outreach and enrollment, Dora Vazquez, who has been working with HealthPoint for over 19 years strives to help people regardless of their struggles. When she heard that BIIN was in need of laptops to better the quality of services provided to the community, she was ready to help.
Dora holds BIIN very close to heart as our mission aligns with her values. BIIN strives to advocate and facilitate access to legal, educational and social services for the immigrant community. Dora wanted to make sure that this was fulfilled by donating 4 laptops to BIIN on behalf of HealthPoint.
With the help of Dora these laptops will help BIIN by having the necessary technology to support the different services we provide. With these four laptops we have created a mini computer center on the second floor to aid our IRA program as well as giving access to the community that does not have the proper technology or stable internet connection to fill out documents or applications. We would like to thank Dora Vazquez and HealthPoint for making it possible for BIIN to enhance the services we provide to the community!
