Norma Madrigal is an Information, Referral, and Assistance (IRA) volunteer that has been volunteering at BIIN for four years. She helps clients with any problems they have, whether it be translation needs or advice on all sorts of issues. She is originally from Laredo, TX and heard about BIIN from a friend and decided to volunteer. When asked what was her favorite thing about working at BIIN? She said “The overall feel. People come in anxious and when they leave they feel more at ease. Reassuring people, giving them hope that there is a way around their problems. I also get to learn a lot during the process!”When Norma is not working full time and volunteering at BIIN, she enjoys traveling, visiting national parks such as the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion (one of her favorites) and cycling. In fact, she will enter her first bicycling race soon! Thank you Norma for all of your time that you give to BIIN and our local immigrant community! You have made such a positive impact on so many lives. We wish you good luck on your first race!
