ESL and Citizenship Coordinator, Emmaline Lowder

We are thrilled to introduce our ESL and Citizenship Coordinator Emmaline Lowder, or Mrs. Emma! Emmaline has been a vital part of the BIIN team for the past six months, dedicating her time and expertise to supporting students as they navigate the path to U.S. citizenship.
In her role, Emmaline teaches essential topics such as U.S. history and government, English language skills, interview preparation, and the naturalization process. Her commitment to helping students succeed shines through in her work, and her passion for education is evident in everything she does.
Originally from Virginia, Emmaline moved to Utah to pursue a degree in Political Science & Spanish at Brigham Young University. After relocating to Bryan-College Station, she found herself drawn to BIIN’s mission, which resonated with both her educational background and her personal commitment to working with the Hispanic community. Through her role at BIIN, she’s been able to merge her passion for education with her desire to make a meaningful impact in the community.
In her time at BIIN, Emmaline has experienced incredible personal and professional growth. She’s learned the power of effective communication—both in English and Spanish—and how it fosters deep connections with her students. Public speaking has become a source of confidence and joy, and her last semester’s class left a lasting impact on her. The support, appreciation, and motivation she received from her students reminded her of the profound influence educators can have. Emmaline’s dedication, warmth, and ability to connect with others play a key role in BIIN’s success. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she continues to make in our community!
