• The Mounce Library ESL Class

    • Saturdays 10 am – 12 pm
    • Registration every Saturday from 10 am – 11 am
    • Students must be 18 years or older
    • Cost: FREE
    • Students are assessed based on skill level and placed in a group with others at their similar level.
    • After three absences, a student’s spot will be given away.
  • English Conversation Circle
    • Larry J. Ringer Library (1818 Harvey Mitchell Parkway S. College Station, TX 77845)
    • Tuesdays 2-3 pm
    • No registration required
    • Cost: FREE
    • Students with a conversational level of English will gain the most out of this class as it is not one-on-one tutoring, but rather a large group discussion.
  • Family Storytime
    • Larry J. Ringer Library (1818 Harvey Mitchell Parkway S. College Station, TX 77845)
    • Upcoming dates: November 19, December 17 (3rd Sunday of the month)
    • Open to all ages; geared towards families
    • Cost: FREE
    • Games, snacks, crafts, and stories in multiple languages including Spanish, French, and Chinese
  • Aggie Baptist Student Ministry
    • Open to English learners of all ages
    • English classes offered weekly. These classes are a good option if there is some English knowledge and conversational proficiency. At every class there is at least one teacher that knows and can assist with Spanish speakers.
      • Mondays – 6:30 pm
      • Wednesday – 1:30 pm
      • Fridays – 10:30 am
    • Table talk
      • Tuesdays at 5:30 pm
      • Less of a class and more of a conversation
      • Students are paired with a teacher and given a topic to discuss. Much more natural flow of conversation.
      • English proficiency highly advised

  • Discovery Classes at First Baptist Church
    • Through First Baptist Church in College Station there are a variety of classes offered for women of all backgrounds and languages.
    • Classes include but are not limited to:
      • English learning classes
      • Crochet and other crafts
      • American cooking
      • Beauty care
      • Exercise/dance
      • Piano
    • Open registration
    • All classes offered weekly on Wednesday mornings at First Baptist Church
